Welcome to our first week.
Hi everyone
As mentioned in my classes I am from New Zealand. Below are some clips on sport, music and scenery from New Zealand that may interest you. Enjoy.
Rugby
New Zealand, Australia and South Africa play the best rugby in the world.
This game is between New Zealand and Australia.
Cricket
Here are a couple of videos to give you an idea what "cricket" is all about.
Netball
If you are ever in New Zealand you will see thousands of girls and women playing netball every Saturday. Netball is a non-contact team sport in which two teams of seven try to score points against one another by placing a ball through a high hoop. The game originated in the United States as a derivation of basketball for women.
Netball is played by 20 million players in more than 70 countries[2]. It is particularly popular in New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England and Jamaica.
Netball requires speed, strategy, team work and co-ordination, thus its appeal is not limited to women. Representative men's teams exist.

Here is a selection of music from New Zealand.
Some of the songs were popular when I was at school
and some I only just heard while making this playlist.
Enjoy and if you want to know the words to any of the
songs please ask me.
What's Marmite???
